SEWER INSPECTIONS FOR HOME BUYERS…..Call a professional!

SEWER INSPECTIONS FOR HOME BUYERS…..Call a professional! Very few property owners are aware that they are responsible for the sewer line (sewer lateral) from the building to the city main. Broken, flat, bellied, offset, or root-infested sewer lines can cause sewage to back up into the house or commercial building leading to extensive property damage in the home or business. Sewer back-ups can cause thousands of dollars in property damage and loss of valuable operating time for businesses. Although insurance companies will usually pay for cleanup and restoration caused by a sewer back up; repair or replacement of the line...

Pipeline video inspection

Technology is moving faster than we can keep up sometimes, but that's not always a bad thing. 10 years ago when sewer line video inspection or cctv pipe inspection first hit the market people were skeptical.  Then the technology was expensive and the inspectors had to charge big money for an inspection service. Fast forward to 2013...Sewer line inspection is quite common now and is done routinely when selling or buying a home, or when there are problems with your main line or your sewers backing up. But beware of home inspectors that tell you that your line needs replacing.  Ask to be there when they are inspecting the sewer...

Trenchless pipe patch

Recently we completed a residential pipe patching job in 4 hours. The homeowner was happy that there was very little digging (just a small pit in his yard) and that the water would be back on in hours not days. The compromised pipe was 20ft out from the house, under a newly paved sidewalk.  The town of Gorham would have imposed a large fine for digging up the sidewalk.  This is why pipe patching is becoming so popular.  Very little digging...And no digging in the street. Here is a video of pipe patching, before and after.   Northeast Sewer & Drain Service

Pipe lining

Many people are starting to learn about the benefits of pipe re-lining. This is recent CIPP relining job we completed in Portland Maine First the liner and bladder are laid out and cut to length Then the resin is weighed and mixed, this has to be inserted into the liner within 15 minutes of mixing. Then the mixture is funneled into the liner. And the liner is rolled through a calibrations roller to make sure all the resin in distributed evenly. This is Tyler giving a shout out to Maxliner our supplier! Once the liner is filled it is taken to the pipe...
